Safety first. Our comprehensive overhead crane safety training prepares your staff to practice safe lifting techniques that will reduce the risk of potential safety incidents. Improper crane operation can lead to accidents, injuries, damage, or fatalities which is why we empower your staff with the knowledge of crane, rigging, and hoisting safety. With in-person and online training programs, we help your team get ready to lift.

What to expect from our overhead crane, rigging, and hoisting course

Crane & Lifting Regulations

In this course, you’ll learn which regulations and guidelines you must follow to be a competent overhead crane operator. CSA and OH&S standards are set by the government and require crane operators to be competent and knowledgeable of overhead cranes. Our overhead crane operator training company prepares you by testing your understanding of the required regulations.

Crane Identification

After this course, you’ll effectively be able to identify all types of overhead cranes relevant to your position and the various styles of overhead cranes in the industry. While all overhead cranes function similarly, it’s important to identify the differences in operation and functionality to ensure no steps are missed when preparing to use the hoisting and lifting equipment and rigging.

Pre-use Inspections

This course teaches the basics of crane pre-use inspections and how to identify any hazards that could affect the safe operation of your overhead crane. These hazards include mechanical, electrical and safe lift zone preparation. Frequent inspections are required to meet mandatory CSA compliance inspection standards. We’ll properly train your crane operators to keep effective inspection records.
